IN-CAR CLIMATE

Excessive heating and cooling via your electric vehicle’s heating and air conditioning systems are two of the largest features that consume battery power. In some cases, they can use up to 30% of battery capacity, leading to more frequent charging and less efficient travelling.

EXTERNAL FACTORS

OUTDOOR TEMPERATURE

During cooler periods, electric vehicles run less efficiently by consuming more power to reach their optimum temperature, dropping 10-20% in range. In contrast, they’re more efficient and have a greater range during warmer months, as 20-30°C is the prime performance temperature.
